A number of exercise machines are emerging all over the world, all of different types and with various results. One type that is growing more and more in popularity is Whole Body Vibration machines. They originated in Eastern Europe around the early 1960's and have been spreading more and more to other countries.
Technology behind Whole Body Vibration machines was discovered a long time ago in Greece, and perfected by Russian scientist Vladimir Nazarov. He worked for the Soviet Space Program and needed to discover a way to prevent bone density loss in the astronauts. Because of lack of gravitational field in space, there is no need for the muscles to perform and therefore they become partially atrophied. Then the bones supporting them become brittle and astronauts experience multiple bone fractures upon their return to the ground. Nazarov discovered that those astronauts who went through vibration training before going into space had greatly increased bone density. That assured lack of fractures, and even promoted healthier bones and stronger muscles in the long run.
These results inspired various companies to start creating exercise equipment that incorporates vibration technology . The way this technology works is by using RNS, or Rhythmic Neuromuscular Stimulation, which stimulates muscles at a very high speed, making them counteract the vibrations. This process makes muscles leaner and stronger, while also making them more flexible.
There is an extensive list of benefits associated with vibration training, including great flexibility, increased hormone levels, and overall balance. Thanks to the development of vibration technology, it has become possible for athletes and everyone else to enjoy faster healing and increased stamina.
